I grew up in Ohio, graduated from Ohio
State & have worked as a Sr. Programmer Analyst for 21 years. Missy and I
have been married for 26 years. She is very understanding and appreciates
the other love of my life ,
fishing. She will, also, fish if the weather is perfect, water is warm
and they’re biting, otherwise, you’ll find her on the back platform
reading or just enjoying the peacefulness. We have two boys, Jacob (21) and Jason (24) who have both inherited my love for fishing. Jason has tore down many reels with good intention of cleaning them, however, most remained pieces. Jason’s favorite line is, “Here Fishy, Fishy, Fishy” and he’s been seen kissing a few fish, also. Jacob has caught his share of big bass in local city and subdivision ponds. Jacob’s reels were first in line for a good cleaning- now, he’ll probably catch even more. As the boys were growing up, we spent a lot of family time fishing and camping. Once a year, I take the youth groups from church fishing (all ages). It is great to see how excited they get with their very first fish on the line. I’m hoping some of them will be hooked forever. Missy and I spent some time with known reel repair experts, Connie Kilpatrick and her husband, Killer, of Lake Fork Tackle Repair learning the reel/rod repair business. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with them and gained a ton of knowledge and enthusiasm along with a wonderful friendship. Don’t let a dirty/malfunctioning reel be the reason for “the one that got away.” A real good reel cleaning does wonders for performance. A dirty reel alone can be the culprit of your casting distance being cut short. All reels are tested prior to returning to owners. Your reels will be completed in a timely fashion, after all, there are fish to be caught. In my own past experience, I’ve been without equipment for three months waiting on repairs - not good. Jones Tackle Service treats you, as they would like to be treated. Ken & Missy Jones |
